Welcome,
I'm Terry. As
you browse my website, you'll see that animals are an important part
of my life, and I cherish the memories of past pets that have graced
my world. Over twenty years ago I began
memorializing my family of incredible pets in portraits.
As my collection of paintings grew, so did the requests from others
to capture their pets’ likenesses on canvas. My hobby became a
business as the geographic area of my clientele grew. Tours
and shows in major cities of the South eventually spread north to
Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Danbury, Connecticut.
Unfortunately, travel demands substantially lessened the time that I
could devote to my passion for painting. Via the internet, I
am now able to offer my original keepsake oil portraits exclusively
from my studio in Panama City, Florida.
The popularity of my portraits and high degree of customer
satisfaction are due to two things:
the
quality of photographs furnished by clients that capture and reflect
distinctive
features and unique personalities of their pets; and a mutual
understanding with the client of what the finished product will look
like before the first brush stroke is ever applied.
The finished piece is the culmination of our combined efforts. The
resulting creation is a treasured family heirloom of love and
remembrance captured forever through the richness of oil on canvas.
Having displayed my artwork and placed myself in front of the public
for over twenty years, I have come to understand my patrons, their
unique perspectives in commissioning a painting, and my obligations
in making their dreams a reality.
My web pages offer realistic examples of my life-like style through
a beautiful combination of subjects. These include dogs, cats,
birds, rabbits, and chickens. The horse portraits reflect my
appreciation for their robust energy and unbridled majesty which
have been recorded on various mediums since the beginning of time.
My landscapes reflect a variety of scenic beauty, imaginative flower
gardens, and family experiences.
(Note:
Portraits without photos were created from a composite of
photographs.)
